Designed by David Bergsland, Arrondi is a sans serif font family. This typeface has four styles and was published by Hackberry Font Foundry.
The name is a French word for rounded, and I started this font by deciding that every sharp corner would be rounded off. I wanted to keep this subtle, but thorough as I eliminated all corner points. This new four-font family is a smooth, softened, slightly modulated, sans—that looks almost geometric. It fits with what I imagined very well. I will be using this one a lot.
It has all the dingbats and ligatures which I’ve come to expect and rely upon. After designing fonts for three decades, I have learned what I require. Arrondi works exceptionally well in headers, and as emphasis, with Biblia Serif text.
It’s designed using the same font metrics as the rest of the fonts in the Biblia, Araldo, Biblia Serif, Draetha, and Biblia Display Book Production Group. So, they all mix together fluidly. But, like the others, it stands on its own also.
